There are a couple of reasons that drew me to this particular Guest House. Firstly, I am rather partial to Perth and this lovely Victorian Bed and Breakfast is right near the heart of the city, close to bus and train stations and local parks and shopping. There is free parking but it’s so close to everything, you probably won’t even need the car to get around.
Another reason is because the proprietors are committed to the Green Tourism Scheme and they make a concerted effort to do their part for the environment within their Guest House. They are also dedicated to the Perthshire Breakfast, meaning that they use quality, local, fresh produce and the sausages, haggis and black pudding are from the butcher close by. Simon Howie provides the meat and Gloagburn Farm supplies the oats and eggs.
Home-made granola with toasted almonds, oats and seeds sweetened with Perthshire honey is available as well as delicious mushroom and cheese scones.
All of the bedrooms have en-suites and adjustable heating. There are single, double and twin rooms available as well as a family room, if required. Free wi-fi and satellite TV is provided.
