no, I haven’t become a blog for jobs in Scotland. 🙂  I’ve just seen a couple recently that would be oh so perfect if I lived in Scotland.  This job that I am posting below is a dream job of mine and maybe one summer I will move over for the months it’s on.  Long have I wanted to work at Stirling Castle.  Unfortunately it is highly impractical for commuting.

However, that being said … here they are … a couple of postings for summer workers with Historic Scotland.   I’d love to hear from you if you are working for any of the Historic Scotland properties this summer.

Applications are invited for the post of Seasonal Visitor Services Assistants based at Stirling Castle. These are full time, fixed term (April to September) pensionable appointments. The post holder will work 37 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends.

We are recruiting for seasonal staff for 2015 for all areas within the Castle with various dates starting March through to October.

You will provide the highest standard of customer care to all visitors at all times; enthusiastically provide information and assistance to visitors throughout their visit, whilst also ensuring visitor safety at Edinburgh Castle; and ensure high standards of presentation and professionalism are maintained at all times. There are 3 areas in which positions are available within the Visitor Services Team: Admissions, Retail and Stewarding.

Completed application pack and relevant baseline security documents (please see attached sheet confirming the required baseline documents) should be brought along to one of our recruitment days at Edinburgh Castle. The recruitment open days are from 9th February – 11th February 2015, 11.00am – 4.00pm.
